Ok,  I'm back,
Several months had passed since the Unicorns had settled into their new home.
Kalina had spent most of her days tending to the young Unicorns.  They did not understand why their old home was destroyed.  Of course, Kalina didn't know why either.  This really disturbed Kalina, so one day Kalina called an audience with the elder Unicorns.   "My Unicorn friends, I can no longer pretend your old home is still intact.  I must find out why it was destroyed, and by whom."   One of the elders inquired of Kalina......"Your journey will be perilous and the one responsible may seek you out and try to destroy you as well."   Kalina thought about this for a moment and said, "If we are to find out what happened to your tower someone must take the chance, I will call on my father for guidance and protection.  We must find the truth or the Unicorns will never be safe."

Kalina spent the rest of the day making preparations for her long  journey back to her fathers castle.  After a good nights sleep she set out to the south to the castle.  She decided to make the journey alone against the wishes of the elder Unicorns.  Kalina believed that she had a better chance at finding the truth if there were no Unicorns with her.
It took almost a month for Kalina to reach her fathers castle.

King Xavier was of course, expecting Kalina.  Kalina and her father went down into a secret room in the sub basement of the castle.  Once inside the room, Xavier recited a spell to seal the room from prying eyes and ears.  "My daughter, while you were away, much has changed".  "After the Unicorn tower was destroyed, a plague has struck the forest and has struck down most of its inhabitants".  Xavier explained.  "I only wish I knew who was behind this.  Kalina, you have chosen to take this task and I will aid you as much as I can.  I have a bag with all the tools and spells that you will need."  Kalina asked her father.  "Father, I will find out who is behind this, but I don't know where I am to start my search."   Xavier did not know the answer, but told Kalina that he would consult the fates after the moon sets in the night sky.
